School Swimming Sports

Last Friday was a big day in the pool for Howick Intermediate. It was whanau verses whanau in a race to the finish line for school swimming sports.

As the sun beat down everyone was getting behind their whanau both with chants and with the colours adorning the seating areas.

Results are still pending but it did seem one particular whanau seemed to claw their way into victory through the massive number of competitors. Participation wins the day.

Our hot question is to  examine the extent of water pollution in Howick Beach in the past 10 years , analyse the impact of water pollution on marine life  and suggest  solutions  in order  to prevent  further  damage to marine life . Some  parts ofthe inquiry are challenging and fun. The  best  part  is we have been selected by Miss Haag  for Art.

We found this video this helped us understand a little more about the problem
